Ipoh - Manjung - Kg. Kuantan - Jeram

Yesterday, I went to Ipoh for a wedding..Kak Lin fetch me at Meru about 7.45am and we went to Selayang to fetch Haz & KI..We reach Ipoh at around 11.30am. Bride is still with the make up artist while the groom was not there yet...

Congrats again to my beloved Cik Nab & Paiz..

Yes, finally I met with Nawal [who had disappear since we started our honeymoon vacation].

After the wedding, we went to Manjung to visit Kak Paa house.. FINALLY I reached Manjung! haha..it's a dream come true Kak Paa.. hehe.. :)

After that, we continue our journey to Kg. Kuantan, Kuala Selangor for a short trip to see kelip-kelip!!!! weeeeeeeee~! The night was so beautiful..the moon was beautiful yesterday and the scenery were awesome..! We paid RM10 per person including mineral water. Each sampan can carry around 4 people only.. The only thing that scares me is.....crocodile. yes. haha. It's the first time I see kelip-kelip and the first time I touch that tiny insect.. weeeee!

Then we went to Pantai Jeram to hunt for seafood!! Yes, above is Butterprawn..but I think the most delicious butterprawn ever that I had tasted was at Sarawak.

Chilly crab.

Sotong goreng tepung was the most enjoyable food we had last night. It was yummy, crunchy, soft and bigggggg!

Kepah masak cili. Had so much fun with Haz, Ki & Kak Lin..and yes, Kak Lins' red velvet cupcake was THE BEST! EVER! yummeh! We had a theme song yesterday.....Good Life by OneRepublic. Hope you too enjoy this song! :)

For Sandwich Lovers!

I dedicate this recipe to Kak Paa & KI whose been craving for my sandwich in such a long time. Haha. Sorry dear..been quite busy [hah alasan lagi]. I had actually made this for Prof L and my classmates. Everyone loves it! Thanked God.

2 in 1 Sandwich

Ingredients for homemade meat patty:

  • 450g lean minced beef or chicken
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 medium onion, half ground, the other half thinly sliced
  • ½ tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Ingredients for mushroom and cheese:

  • 2 tsp cooking oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 8 medium-sized white button mushrooms, sliced ½ cm thick
  • 1 large red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsps minced fresh oregano OR 2 tsps dried oregano
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup chicken stock / can use chicken cubes in warm water
  • 1 tsp light soya sauce
  • 85g sliced Cheddar cheese

Other ingredients:

  • 4-6 slices of multigrain/wholemeal bread
  • Butter
  • Green Salad / Japanese cucumber
  • Slices of tomato

How to do it?

  • In a mixing bowl, combine minced meat, egg, grated onion, garlic, salt and black pepper. Mix well. Shape into thin patties.
  • Heat a large heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Fry the meat patties till cook on both sides. Drain on paper towels. Put aside.
  • In a large non-stick pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook 2-3 minutes, stir until soft and beginning to brown.
  • Add mushroom, bell pepper, oregano, and pepper. Stir fry and cook until the vegetables are tender about 7 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to low; sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir to coat.
  • Stir in chicken stock and soy sauce; bring to a simmer.
  • Remove from the heat and lay cheese slices on top of the vegetables. Cover and let stand until cheese is melted, about 1-2 minutes.
  • In a clean saucepan, place slices of wholemeal bread, butter side down. Cook each slice of bread until golden brown. Put aside.
  • Place butter, salad/cucumber, tomato, meat patty and last but not least mushroom and cheese. Serve hot immediately with extra fresh fruit salad.

Enjoy the sandwich with your love ones.. :)

Raden Galoh get engaged!

I remembered our Hang Tuah theatre when we were in Form 4. She became one of the top Raden during the oldies. She's Moon, my dearest lovely colleague. Yesterday, I went to Moons' engagement ceremony. Alhamdullillah, everything turns out good.

Beautiful aite? Guess who's her charming Mak Andam? ..hehe.. That would be Yatie and me. First time jadi mak andam oke. Thank God, she looks gorgeous that day. The day was absolutely magical. And sebak oke! *tssskkkk tahan airmata*. There's tears everywhere during the ceremony. Tears of happiness of course! She made a suprised sing-along-song for mothers day. Thanks for the little angels of hers, Sarah & her double gang-er.

We had a great time being 'dayangs'. haha. Cume tak mandikan Moon je. :P I wonder how it feels like to be in the middle attention that day. But, Moon looks cool je. Chill. Good. I was the one yang menggigil Moon! grrrrrr~

Our photographer, Maslina was amazing. She did so well and she didn't even finish her food just for the sake of taking the whole lot of pictures. But, we do shifts. hehe.. You know me, when I got my hand on DSLR, I wouldn't stop. hehe.

To my dearest Moon, may Allah bless the day and upcoming wedding ceremony of yours & Shazif. My do'a will always be you :') congrats again and again..through all the tough journey, Alhamdulillah, your wish come true. You've made it dear! So, smile and be happy ..lurve u pretty..
